Mentech Innovation develops the HUME, a system for measuring real-time stress and emotions, ultimately to improve the quality of life and the happiness of vulnerable people. The HUME consists of wearables with built-in electronics and sensors to measure physiological data (such as heart rate, skin conduction, skin temperature and activity), and a data analysis platform to translate these measurements into stress levels and other emotions via smart algorithms and pattern recognition. Since 2019, healthcare organisations participate in a national pilot study to validate HUME in a practical setting.

The community meeting with the HUME pilot study partners took place at ORO in Deurne. The partners are enthusiastic about the progress. During the feedback session experiences were exchanged and wishes for the study discussed. Participants not only expect that the HUME® will provide insight into misunderstood behavior, but that it will also be usable for self-diagnosis. An additional advantage is the expected cost reduction by preventing escalations in the future. Next to that, care takers feel that they can divide their time in a different manner, according to the needs of the clients.

The next meeting has already been scheduled. Interested to participate in this pilot study? Contact us for more information about what we can offer your healthcare organisation and clients.
