About Mentech

People with an intellectual disability or dementia are often insufficiently able to express their emotions, pain or discomfort and experience unnecessary stress. As a result, their behavior is not always understood, and care professionals cannot always provide the necessary attention and meaningful care.

The solution we are developing is Hume, an emotion recognition platform based on sensors, behavioral models, and machine learning. The sensors record physiological characteristics such as heart rate, skin conductance, and activity. This information is converted into meaningful information in the Hume database through behavioral models. In this way, we can help caregivers better understand clients and thus increase the quality of life for clients.

Job description

Are you a Software Developer at heart? A professional looking for a challenge and a place to develop yourself as a front-end developer? As a Front-end Developer, you will join a close-knit and specialized team that works on improving our Hume system on a daily basis. You will mainly work with tools like Vue.js and Flutter. You will deliver new features for our Hume system based on continuous integration.

Your main activities include

·         Contribute to the Agile development and improvement of the existing HUME software platform;

·         Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary software, design, and customer teams Building (web) applications and APIs for advanced analytics dashboards and a variety of other internal and external projects

·         Collaborate with our Ux/Ui team in measuring and validating the app’s user experience in close consultation with customers;

·         Writing end-to-end tests for the apps and master CI/CD;

You preferably have the following profile

·         You have obtained a bachelor’s or master’s in software engineering;

·         Preferably have 1-3 years of experience working as a front-end developer

·         You preferably have programming experience in Java, typescript, and JavaScript;

·         You preferably have some experience with Git;

·         You have experience with agile working in cross-disciplinary projects;

·         You optionally have experience in Flutter, Vue.js, SQL, Docker, and AWS;

·         You are a problem solver;

·         You are a real team player with good communication skills;

·         You like to work in a multidisciplinary team with different backgrounds and nationalities.
