About Mentech

Due to labor shortages and a more complex care demand, data-driven work becomes necessary in the transition to future-proof care for people with intellectual disabilities or dementia. For this purpose, Mentech develops solutions such as the HUME or the emotion-intelligent robot. The HUME is an advanced sensor system that can measure tension build-up based on data from wearables (such as a sock) and AI algorithms. Early detection of tension build-up and insight into the causes of stress allows the caregiver to act more effectively and thus prevent escalations. The emotion-intelligent robot performs person-centered interventions based on stress recognition to alleviate the care demand.

This provides long-term care with tools to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities or dementia and reduce the pressure on care.

Job Description

You are responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing development projects within Mentech. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications. As a project leader, you work closely with the project team, the product owner, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.

What will you do?

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for leading integrated development projects of complex electrical/mechatronic systems, mainly for customers in long-term care. Relevant tasks include developing project plans, directing and motivating project teams, risk management, budget monitoring and time management, quality assurance, communication with all stakeholders, and documentation. In this, we work according to the V-model with gates and an agile development methodology. Together with a motivated development team, you ensure that our products have an ever-increasing impact on the lives of vulnerable people.

What do we expect from you?

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Proven experience in leading projects, preferably in a technological sector.
• Distinct leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and direct teams.
• Strong communication skills, both in teamwork and towards external stakeholders.
• Organized and methodical working, with a solid knowledge of project management methods such as Agile Scrum.
• Proficiency in using project management tools and software to efficiently manage projects.
• A proactive attitude in problem-solving and decision-making, able to switch quickly and set priorities.
