About Mentech

People with an intellectual disability or dementia are often insufficiently able to express their emotions, pain or discomfort and experience unnecessary stress. As a result, their behavior is not always understood, and care professionals cannot always provide the necessary attention and meaningful care.

This is why Mentech was founded. We provide valuable tools for care by means of state-of-art technology. One of our products is for example the HUME, an emotion recognition platform based on sensors, behavioral models, and machine learning. We also develop products for customers such as a social care robot or interactive application to help people with an intellectual disablity to exercise.

We have a young and vibrant team with expertise in both healthcare and technology. We work daily in close collaboration with customers and end-users on a wide varity of products to make a valuable impact on the lives of vulnerable people.

Job description

Are you a UI / UX Designer at heart? A professional looking for a challenge and a place to develop yourself and develop yourself as a designer? Do you like responsibility, working in a team and a flat corporate culture? Then join our team and help vulnerable people have a better quality of life! As a UI / UX Designer, you will join a close-knit and specialized team that works on improving our products on a daily basis. You will mainly work on designing the frontends of our mobile apps (android, iOS) and Web dashboards.

Your main activities include

• Make an impact on the quality of life of vulnerable people
• Be passionate about creating the best user experience for our products
• Put your own creative stamp on your designs
• Be open to challenges and think along with problems outside your area of expertise
• Work in the vibrant setting of a fast-growing scale-up

You preferably have the following profile

• MBO 4 or bachelor in UI / UX design or graphic design, or similar field. 
• Experience with Adobe products, especially Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
• Experience with Figma, Sketch, Maze, Whimsical or comparable tools
• Knowledge of Web languages (CSS, HTML, Javascript) is a plus
• Knowledge of any programming language is a plus
