The HUME helps care organisations to understand misunderstood behaviour of clients and residents. People with dementia or intellectual disabilities sometimes show misunderstood behaviour. In many cases, this behaviour is caused by stress. Stress levels can be measured in real-time with the HUME, giving care givers insight into the causes of misunderstood behaviour. This information can also be used to prevent stress development and escalations.

You can also use the HUME to measure employee stress. Organisations thereby obtain anonymous information about employees’ perception of stress and the actual level of stress. In addition, employees can gain individual insight into their own stress levels, allowing them to recognise signals of stress earlier and address the cause of stress.
MEASURING STRESS WITH
The HUME measures biofeedback with sensors. The HUME operates with a chest strap, patch and/or a sock with sensors. The chest strap and patch measure heart rate and movement, the sock measures skin conductance and movement. These measurement data are translated into an indication of stress using the HUME software.
HUME DASHBOARD
Monitor the client’s stress level live and receive an alert when stress levels increase. You can then react to stress early and make an intervention, hence preventing escalations. It is also possible to look back at the stress level up to 1 hour. This gives you a better idea of the client’s state of mind and you can adjust the activity or treatment accordingly.
USING DIAGNOSTICS AND DATA ANALYSIS
With sufficient data, you can start investigating correlations between behaviour and stress. This will allow you to better interpret the cause of misunderstood behaviour or stress and test the effect of interventions. The team can use the HUME results to eliminate the cause of stress. You can also use this diagnosis to work on your own resilience.
